Rochelle Carr
My work began with mixed media creations: fiber dolls, mosaic tiled work, metal sculpture, and vintage jewelry. As my art turned to painting, I evolved to the abstract expressionism mixed media forms you see today: sculpture on wood or canvas to form a base that I build upon with layers of acrylic or oil paint. I'm a dual Italian-US Citizen, and am a commission focused visual artist, with over twenty-five years of painting, solo and group shows, teaching, mentoring, and “focused giving” offering support to adult and pediatric health foundations and hospitals. My art has been collected around the world and my philanthropic art contributions have generated six figures in cash donations over the past ten years. Today, I am focused on creating art that makes a difference to the health and well-being of individuals, organizations and communities. It’s all about color and love for me.

My attentions have been redirected by the pandemic over the last 3 years, toward assisting my husband with strategic business development, branding and marketing communications. In 2022 I launched back into art and have developed a home studio where I can devote my attention to experimental, multimedia and sculptural art. I am also engaged in traditional figurative and abstract art. I am currently showing a collection of large paintings at Sisters Gallery in Sisters, Oregon.
