Donna Denker
I am a retired Certified Graphic Designer. I have worked more than 10 years designing business cards, hang tags, creating magazine layouts and freelance work. I worked in print shops, SW Diver magazine and at an Engraver generating emboss/deboss plate designs. In 2007 I started working with Watercolor. I refreshed my drawing and pen and ink skills. Then I added mixed media in 2017 and I’ve never looked back. My passion for art drives me to advance my skills and create new pieces all the time. My gallery of watercolor, mixed media paintings, drawings, pen and ink works have been done over the last 15 years. My paintings are of landscapes, oceans, pets, wildlife and my own imagination. My

compositions are usually of several different photographs making up one finished piece. I use my own photos as well as photos from friends and family with their permission. I paint on watercolor paper, canvas and conk fungi (Ganoderma applanatum) also known as the artist's mushroom conk which is a perennial fungus found in the Pacific Northwest. they grow on dead or dying hardwood trees which, are then harvested and dried. I then prep them for a painting. My paintings are also printed as high quality giclee prints, matted and framed and hung in local venues on the Oregon coast and in Idaho. They are also sent out to a production printer for Christmas cards, note cards, mugs and other merchandise to be sold in venues and shows. I have entered my original paintings in to competitions and county fairs where I have won 1St, 2nd & 3rd prizes. Through my art shows, sales and exhibits I have been fortunate to meet countless wonderful people that continue to inspire and drive me. I am part of the San Tan Artist guild out of Queen Creek, Arizona and the Sisters Artist Association in Sisters, Oregon.
